Step by step guide: How to burn movie/video files to DVD or VCD?

 

Step 1. Download and install AVS Video Tools.

Step 2. Install AVS Video Tools.

 

Open download file to install AVS Video Tools.

 

Step 3. Run AVS Video Converter.

 

Step 4. Click "Browse" button next to "Input File Name" box to select your moive/video files you want to burn.

The video files will be displayed in "Input File Name" box.

Step 5. Set up the parameters for your video files.

 

After you have selected the video input files, press "To DVD" button on the main panel to convert your video files into DVD compatible format or press "To MPEG" button to save your video to SVCD/VCD. In the list of Profiles select one of the offered profiles.

NOTE:  Not all television sets in the world are equal. Different countries use one of the three main video standards - PAL, NTSC or SECAM. This means that a videotape from a PAL country will not play in a VCR in a country that uses the NTSC standard. You should check what TV standard your DVD player and TV set support.

 

Step 6. Select a proper folder path for your output DVD.

 

Click "Browse..." button next to "Output File Name" box and select a location on your HDD for the output DVD files and folders:

NOTE: When you select a location for your output video file, you should save the file to your personal computer HDD.

 

Step 7. Click "Convert Now" button to convert your video files.

NOTE: The result of the conversion should be a folder with DVD (or SVCD/VCD) video files that will be recorded onto a disc with the help of the AVS Video Converter internal burning engine. It will be launched automatically when the conversion process is over.

 

Step 8. Burn DVD files on to a disc.

 

Insert a blank DVD into your computer optical disc drive.

 

NOTE: Make sure that the disc is compatible with your drive.

 

The AVS Video Burner application will be launched to guide you through the burning process so that you could record your converted video onto a disc with no difficulty.

 

You can select the necessary disc drive if you have several, refresh it and mark the "Verify disc" check-box to make sure the disc is recorded correctly:

After that click "Start burning!" button to burn.

 

NOTE: If the disc is not empty you will be offered to erase it.

 

After the burning is over the disc will be ejected automatically.

 

NOTE: If you've checked the "Verify disc" the recording will take a little longer depending on the output files size as the program will need time to verify the recorded files.

 

Ok, now you can watch your movies/videos on your home DVD player!
