How to Arrange Icons on the Vista Start Menu
09/17/2010 00:00:00

To increase productivity and speed up your computer workflow, place frequently used program icons on the Windows Vista "Start" menu. By grouping important items in one location, you can access them quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately, as you use your computer, Vista rearranges the "Start" menu and adds recently used program icons to the group. Restore order to the "Start" menu by arranging these icons in any order that you choose.

Difficulty: EasyInstructions1

Click the Windows "Start" menu to open it.

2

Locate a program icon that you want to move.

3

Click the icon, hold down your left mouse button and move the icon. A black line will appear under the bottom of the icon as you move it.

4

Release the mouse button when the icon reaches the desired location.
