09/17/2010 00:00:00

The Microsoft Windows taskbar is situated at the bottom of the monitor screen by default. However, Windows enables you to customize the position of the taskbar on your desktop. While you may not situate the taskbar at the center of the screen, you may move it to any one of the four sides of the desktop space.

Difficulty: EasyInstructions1

Unlock the taskbar. Move your mouse cursor to an empty area on the taskbar. Right click. Select "Unlock the Taskbar" in the menu.

2

Move your mouse cursor back to an empty area on the taskbar. Hold the left button of the mouse down while you drag the taskbar across your desktop.

3

Position your taskbar to the area you desire: the top, right, left or bottom of the desktop screen. Release the left button of the mouse.

4

Lock the taskbar to prevent accidental movement. Move your mouse cursor to an empty area on the taskbar. Right click. Select "Lock the Taskbar" in the menu.
