If you run Windows XP and attempt to connect to a remote computer, you might receive Error 678. This error means the remote computer is not responding to your attempt to connect. The error details that "there was no answer." Though possible, occurrence in Windows ME, Windows 98 or Windows 2000 is rare. If you wish to resolve this problem and connect to a remote computer, you must reset your TCP/IP interface.
