MKV is a digital video file in the Mastroska Video format. The format is a container format similar to AVI and MOV formats and require specific codecs to be installed to your computer for playback. Burn MKV files with the Windows DVD Maker to watch them on standard DVD player.
Difficulty: EasyInstructions1Insert the blank DVD into your disc drive and the "Auto Play" window will automatically appear. Click the "Burn a DVD-Video Disc with Windows DVD Maker." The Windows DVD Maker will open.
2Click "Choose Photos and Video" and click the "Add Items" button. Click the "MKV" file in the selection window and click "Add."
3Click the "Burn" button to start the burn process. The program will burn the MKV file to the DVD and notify you once the burn is finalized.
4Click "Close" in the "Your Disc Is Ready" message to eject the DVD.
