How to Change a Subtitle Using RealMedia
09/20/2010 00:00:00

RealMedia is a multimedia format developed by RealNetworks and supported by their RealPlayer software. RealPlayer is able to support files that include multiple subtitle tracks. This means that just one file can be distributed rather than having to create separate files for each subtitling option. To switch between subtitles in RealPlayer, or to turn them off entirely, is a simple task.

Difficulty: EasyInstructions1

Open the file you want to play in RealPlayer.

2

Click on "Tools" on the menu bar at the top of the RealPlayer interface to open a drop-down menu.

3

5

Click on the "Show subtitles" and "Supplemental text captioning" boxes to select these if you want subtitles on, or to deselect if you want subtitles off.

7

Click on "OK" and you will go back to playing the video file, now with the subtitle options you have chosen.
